Innocence speaks to many things. To be innocent is to be pure and clean, but it can also suggest ignorance and lack of experience. Can a life be satisfying without risk and experimentation? Is it right for purity to be sacrificed in order to satisfy desires? How can one live with one’s self after that purity is lost? Innocence Does Not Satisfy is a coming of age story for one individual that explores such questions through the use of movement, narration, and an evolving and manipulatable environment. The movement work by three additional ensemble characters entices the individual into an impure world where she finds herself adrift from all that she once embraced.
